Rob Gronkowski’s done this dance before. He called it quits back in 2019, only to lace up again a year later and reunite with Tom Brady, this time in Tampa Bay instead of New England. Fast forward to now, and Gronk’s putting pen to paper once more. But this deal’s different. He’s signing a one-day contract with the New England Patriots, not to play, but to officially retire as a Patriot for life.

“I am signing a one-day contract with the Patriots this week, coming up to retire as a Patriot for life, just like all of you out here,” Gronk said.
