Battling brain cancer is a journey no one anticipates, especially at 19. Yet, Isabella Strahan, daughter of Michael Strahan and Jean Muggli, faced this challenge head-on. One moment, she was juggling college life at USC, and the next, she had to swap textbooks for hospital gowns when she got hit with the kind of diagnosis no one saw coming.

Diagnosed with medulloblastoma (a malignant brain tumor) in October 2023, she underwent multiple surgeries, chemotherapy, and radiation. Luckily after months of battling cancer, the doctors declared Isabella cancer-free in July 2024. “I’d do anything. I don’t want to die,” she wished while battling cancer. Because let’s be real—the past few months were surely the most traumatic phase of her life. And now?

On Sunday, Michael Strahan’s wife and Isabella’s mom, Jean Muggli, took to her Instagram handle and shared a clip of Isabella’s journey from struggling to walk properly to running in the woods while writing a sweet and simple yet strong message. “Things get better; time heals.” Jean even captioned her post, sending a message to Isabella, “Time, Prayer & she worked so hard🌹.”

Indeed! Just a year and a half ago, Isabella suffered headaches, nausea, and difficulty walking in a straight line. And it was her twin sister, Sophia, who advised her to visit the doctor. It was then that Isabella and her parents found out that she had been diagnosed with medulloblastoma. Fast forward, and time absolutely healed everything.

Just the other day, Isabella appeared on the Beyond the Battlefront podcast with Noor Hassan (who’s also a cancer survivor). During her chat with Hassan, Isabella revealed that she’s now back at the University of Southern California to continue her studies.

To top that off, she even collaborated with Kenneth Cole as they dropped their spring womenswear collection. Kenneth Cole’s IG post is evident enough to describe Isabella’s finding way her back to life.

Posting a black-and-white picture of Isabella wearing a black, ribbed knit two-piece set, the caption features Isabella’s words, “I’m alive. Isn’t that a beautiful thing?” The caption further mentions, “Unbreakable. Unstoppable. Isabella Strahan wears strength with style in our spring womenswear collection. All in all, it’s safe to say that after months of battling cancer, Michael Strahan’s daughter is shining whether it’s collaborating with multiple brands, or just posting a casual selfie.

Michael Strahan’s daughter shared update on her hair growth

After finally being declared cancer free, Isabella Strahan is getting back to her life—one moment at a time. From returning to the USC to stepping back into the modelling, to having a nice vacation in the Bahamas with her twin sister, Sophia, and their friends, Isabella has been doing it all. And why not?

Picture this: She just started her college career at USC, and just when she was about to start the next chapter of life, life hit her with a malignant brain tumor. Not the kind of start anyone had expected. But here we are. Isabella faced the traumatic challenge head on. Fast forward and she didn’t just recover, but returned to the USC as well. And let’s just say the 20-year-old girl is now celebrating every moment of her life.

And her recent selfies are the prime example of this. Especially the one that she shared on Saturday on her IG handle. No caption or anything, just a picture of herself. The highlight of that picture? It’s her hair growth. Because let’s be real—she candidly expressed her feelings about losing her hair due to chemo.

Remember when she posted a TikTok video making fun of the fact that she got bald amidst her chemo? Yeah, she was joined by her twin-sister who snatched her blonde wig, revealed her head, both of them laughed, and lip synced over a popular sound that said, “Oh my gosh, she’s bald! She’s bald and she’s torturing people who have hair!” So yeah, seeing her pictures, we can just say that Isabella is embracing every bit of change in her body after battling cancer.
