Victor Wembanyama reflected on his time in the NBA, as the French baller’s rookie almost came to a closure. The 20-year-old came into the league with heightened expectations and, it is safe to say; he delivered more than it. Despite his explosive stat line, exceeding the rookie season magic of LeBron James and Shaquille O’Neal, his team, San Antonio Spurs, couldn’t facilitate a decent season for him.
Speaking to Tom Orsborn, a reporter, Wemby revealed his mantra for this season. The last-seeding Spurs managed to win only 15 games so far. Reflecting on the record, the 7 ‘ 4 revealed that he would “stay humble” while winning and try not to “collapse” during losses. Above all, he revealed when he would celebrate. He said, “I think the only time we’ll celebrate a win for many days and weeks is when we win the whole thing.”
