Mattia Binotto’s Ferrari career collapsed last year. The poor reliability combined with the Strategic blunders meant that the Italian had to leave the Maranello stable. With the TP seat vacant at Alpine, Mattia Binotto was expected to go there. However, it looks like Binotto’s Alpine career collapsed even before getting started after the major F1 update. But why is it happening?
Otmar Szafnauer’s tenure at Alpine ended after the Belgium GP. The former Team Principal was sacked by the team and Bruno Famin is currently filling the empty TP seat. As the seat became vacant, many speculated that Mattia Binotto might become Otmar Szafnauer’s successor. Binotto moved away from Ferrari before the start of the current season.

Whilst all this is happening, the voice of F1 suggests that Mattia Binotto has a great shot at getting the role of TP at Alpine. Who is this person and what exactly did he say?
Martin Brundle suggests that the possibility of Mattia Binotto to Alpine is high.
The voice of F1 explained how Mattia Binotto and Luca De Mayo are close. Brundle suggested that Alpine must see something in Mattia Binotto. The Italian was at Ferrari which always looks good on a resume. Brundle added that it wouldn’t be a surprise if Binotto was announced by Alpine
According to F1inGenerale, Martin Brundle said “Binotto has a lot of experience in the Ferrari system. He knows how to run a Formula 1 team. Obviously, it didn’t work in Ferrari, otherwise, it would still be there. But I wouldn’t be surprised if it was announced.”
